When I started working out in May of 2010 I weighed in at just over 180lbs. My max bench press was 135 lbs.  I know, WEAK.  I had met a couple of goals on the bench press but came to a plateau where I was stuck for 3 months with out raising my max weight.  I have not done much bench pressing, (maybe 2 times per month) over the past three months while I am doing P90X.  I know P90X makes your back strong but doesn’t do too much for the chest.  I have also heard that a stronger back will increase your bench press. We’ll it’s true, on Saturday I passes my goal by 20 lbs and bench pressed 220lbs with a body weight of 165lbs.  It feels awesome to see results of hard work and determination.  P90X does more for you than just tone you up if you add heavier weights and lower your reps.
