Let's Help Sheri- Overcoming Cancer

Let’s Help Sheri

Overcoming Cancer

On October 5th I received a voice mail from Sheri’s Mother, Joanne.  It was a Friday morning and I felt I should call her back right away. Sheri, her Mother, and her Father are all coaches with Team Beachbody and a light to our community.  Sheri has been having trouble with being sick for the past 3-4 months and has not been able to come to our fit club or any other events because she was always under the weather.  This call was not one you want to hear but one that helps answers questions about the looming sickness that has been holding her back.  Sheri has cancer. She is 31 years old and has done some amazing things in her life so far including working for the Peace Corps in Charlestown, Saint Kitts and Nevis. She is VERY passionate about helping others as well as with health and fitness.  On Monday the 8th of October she had surgery to remove the cancer and she is in the hospital recovering right now.  I was able to see her tonight and talk with her.  She says thank you for the kind wall posts and messages, it’s just hard to respond right now.

The next thing she must go through is Chemo and Radiation treatment. Let’s help Sheri.  She has absolutely no insurance and so life will be a struggle for her. Let’s give her the love, support, and positive energy that she needs to recover.  She told me tonight she already has her tickets for Summit next June.  Let’s help Sheri by uplifting her spirits and for those that can, let’s donate to her cause.  I can only imagine the cost to go through this treatments without insurance.  Let’s relieve some of that stress in her life so she can focus on healing.

Let’s Help Sheri!

Imagine what we could do if everyone that read this post could donate whatever they could and share this with all of their friends.  We could have thousands of coaches across our network help Sheri through this struggle.  I’m excited to help out a family member in need!
