Decide-Commit-Succeed

The issue has come up quite often about commitment.  The three steps are Decide. Commit.  Succeed.  It is really easy to DECIDE.  The part alot of people are struggling with is Commit.  What does commit mean?

COMMITMENT
a : an agreement or pledge to do something in the future; especially : an engagement to assume a financial obligation at a future date
b : something pledged
c : the state or an instance of being obligated or emotionally impelled
There is no way around skipping the middle step in the process.  If you want to succeed you must first decide that yes, you want to succeed; then second, you must COMMIT! If you do and follow these first two steps then yes, success will come.
To know a little about me, I have always been taught by my Dad that when you do something you need to do it right the first time.   Little did I know that this teaching to me as a kid would lead to my success as an adult.  When I decided to change my life by starting P90X and Shakeology, I knew that I would be wasting my time if I did not fully commit.  So I put my all into it every day and got results.  When I became a coach with Beachbody, I followed the same teaching from day one.  If you are going to do this, DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.    So many times people waste their time by not fully commiting to what they are doing.
EXCUSES –  The main excuse I hear is “I don’t have time”.  In a few emails this week I have had people I coach ask me, “How do you make time?”
Here is my schedule without the small things like band practice on Tuesdays, kid soccer games and fit club on Saturdays, Fit Club on Tuesday nights, and church on Sunday.
5:30 am- Wake up and answer emails (Beachbody)
7:00 am-  Go to my full time job
12:00 pm (noon lunch break-  write website posts for Beachbody and listen to team calls)
4:30 pm- Leave work
4:45 pm- Get home and wrestle the kiddos
5:00 pm- Start workout  (usually my wife’s at work evenings so the kids are downstairs with me…. all three girls.)
6:00 pm-Make dinner, eat, then family time.
8:00 pm- baths, stories, brush teeth, put 3 girls to bed.
8:30 pm- Do follow ups, bi-weekly leadership calls with downline coaches, answer emails, check fit groups on facebook, & write blog posts,
11:00 -12:00pm- Finish up working Beachbody, read 10 pages of personal development, go to sleep.
This is my schedule.  I am just as busy, if not busier than most.  The only way that I have found success is because I have COMMITTED.  I treat my workouts as a priority and know that if I do not show up, I WILL not get results.  It is by no means easy but because of this commitment I have made, I am seeing the results everyday.  “Struggle is much less painful than regret”.  I will be at home with my family on a daily basis doing what I love most.  Helping others find success and a healthier lifestyle.  It’s time to commit.  No more excuses.  I saw successful P90X stories and successful Beachbody Coach stories.  I said, “WHY NOT ME?”  Now I say, ” Why not you?”  Make that commitment and stick to it.
