I want to do an Ironman

I want to share the story of my friend Paul.  He has gone form 25 stone to 13 stone in his journey so far. He is a member of our Fitness and Accountability group in the UK and I asked him what inspired him to start his journey and he told me, “I want to do an Ironman”.  We came to find out that his journey was much deeper rooted than just the desire to participate in a race and we want to share it with you in order to inspire you but also so that we together can help encourage and continue pushing Paul to be the best person and father that he possible can be.  I’ve met so many people like Paul and so I know that this message and his story will inspire you to work hard on yourself and to also reach out and help others around you.

“I was that low I felt like I wasn’t accepted as a human being with people looking at me and laughing at me. At one point I was so close to ending it all but then I realised I’ve got 3 beautiful children and they mean the world to me. Since starting my transformation, I now feel like a new man, I feel like I’m 25 again. I now run half and full marathon and the odd ultra.  There are still days I struggle with my mind.  Sometimes I look in the mirror and look and feel fat.  It’s going to take my head longer to catch up with my body.  I’ve been a fat blob from the age of 8 until I started this journey.  I began at the age of 37 and I am now 42.  There are days I still find it hard to like myself I’ve spent years hearing from people I’m useless and overweight.I’m going to continue you on this journey because life is to short to spend it sitting around and you only live once.”

Paul we are so PROUD of you and you are an inspiration to our entire group.  We believe in you and want you to know that you are an incredible example to your 3 beautiful children.
