Kicked the Smoking Habit | Accountability Groups | ScottieHobbs.com

Today we get to listen to my friend Jackie Hart share her journey on our team call as well as some great tips on how she’s built her business. She started with the goal to make some healthier habits and shortly fell in love with helping others come on the journey with her! She kicked the smoking habit she had and after a few years and some HARD work was able to leave her full-time job and move to Texas which is something her husband has always wanted to do. I love that we have the opportunity to build this business from our own homes and reach people all across the world.

“I have been a Team Beachbody Coach for almost 5 years. I started my journey purely for accountability. I had been a smoker for 18+ years and had FINALLY kicked the smoking habit FOR GOOD when I decided it was time to do something healthy (since smoking had been the complete opposite) but I didn’t know where to start. I was the girl that lived on the coca cola and gummy bear diet. I skipped meals often and had an almost non-existent appetite. I didn’t know how to cook – seriously! I was the girl that put the pizza in the over with the cardboard – TRUE STORY! Also worth a mention – I’m an extremely PICKY eater. Veggies and I aren’t exactly friends, although we are always trying to get on better terms – just not always as successful as I’d hope (sigh). I’m ALWAYS A WORK IN PROGRESS, even to this day.

Stop smoking

I’ve been married for 20+ years to a man that LOVES to workout. (Opposites attract!) Richie is a total GYM GUY and always has been. I have two children. Alyssa is 20, currently working on her personal training certification, and BB Coach. Adam is 15, and currently working on getting his drivers license. (help me! lol) And I have four beautiful pups, Charlotte, Shay, Diesel and Wally.

Back to my BB journey – like I mentioned, I started Coaching purely for accountability. After being introduced to the BB workouts… I quickly fell in love with the simplicity. I later fell in love with the results. Having a community of women to report to, ask questions, and be surrounded by on the daily was the game changer for me. At this time I decided to Coach – as a hobby. I found it fun to lead these communities, provide motivation and encouragement and the money was a nice added bonus. At that time, it wasn’t about the money. I was a full time paralegal at a prestigious law firm in the City of Chicago and loved my career.

As time went on, I continued to share my journey and fill my support groups with women that wanted the same thing I did essentially, to live a healthier lifestyle. And in the process of that, many of those women not only wanted to live a healthier lifestyle… they were also interested in sharing their journeys, earning their investment back and helping others do the same thing. Things were getting exciting!!!

This pattern has continued over the past several years – I have stayed on my journey with the accountability and support of my fit family. I have grown my team. I have grown my income. And I was able to leave my law firm, of almost 17 years, relocate my family from the midwest to central Texas, and I am a full time BB Coach. Although it wasn’t in the plans in the beginning – I am extremely grateful and so thankful that this opportunity presented itself so that I could be a part of something so BIG and so IMPACTFUL. Being my own boss isn’t so bad either
