Success is outside your comfort zone

Success is outside your comfort zone

Kevin Morris

I was talking with one of my clients this morning after her coming to me with the question of why can’t I stay motivated like you.  The fact of the matter was simple.  Myself and other successful people aren’t always motivated when we wake up.  I didn’t want to work today.  I wasn’t motivated.  I read, listened to good audios, did a Body Beast workout and STILL wasn’t motivated.  It wasn’t until I took 8 minutes to myself to reflect on my blessings and feel grateful for this life and the health that I have.  Once I did that I was focused on my purpose and started taking action.  Success is outside your comfort zone on a daily basis.  If you want to create a life that YOU WANT its going to be important that you step outside of your comfort zone and figure out what it is that really matters in your life.  I want to share with you the results and some thoughts from my friend Kevin who had a “moment” that changed everything for him.

“Before I started using Beachbody workouts and Shakeology I had pretty much stopped worrying about my health and fitness. I ate whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted and didn’t worry about the consequences. This led to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, being Life Flighted to the Emergency Room and an eventual heart catheterization. Even after all that I still had a “whatever” attitude. It wasn’t until my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer did reality hit me. That news shook my world. I knew that she would beat cancer, that’s just who she is. But it made me think about my own health. I could not let my wife and kids down. I could not continue down the path that I was traveling. I had already started drinking Shakeology and eating healthier long before her diagnosis. I watched my blood pressure start to come under control. I eventually was able to stop taking my blood pressure medications all together. But it still took me quite some time to get my butt in gear when it came to exercise. Recently, I was chosen to be in The Chiseled Ones challenge group led by Autumn Calabrese herself. Talk about the ultimate in accountability! For 28 days my nutrition was completely dialed in, I gave my workouts 110% and I totally committed to the program.success-is-outside-your-comfort-zone

By the end of the 28 days it was obvious my hard work had paid off. While I didn’t have a real dramatic transformation, I had one nonetheless. Over the course of the program I lost a total of 13 pounds and a total of 9-1/4 inches. There is no way I’m slowing down now! I have always believed in Beachbody. But now I know that I can help others the way that Autumn and my fellow Chiseled Ones helped me. It is now my goal to help as many people as I can to become a healthier happy version of themselves. My family is my WHY and because I have committed to being the Dad and Husband that they need I have learned how to not only help myself, but how to help others as well. This is going to be an amazing journey.”
