Choosing Your Path
What to Look for Before Becoming a MAKE Wellness Affiliate
The products, timing, and compensation plan matter—but the mentor and team you choose can shape the business you build and the life you create as you begin to grow and expand your economic opportunities.
Your Sponsor Choice Matters
Choose Someone You Can Build With for the Long Term
If you’re considering how to become a MAKE Wellness affiliate, I believe there is something just as important as the products, compensation plan, or timing: who you choose to build with. The right partner should offer more than enthusiasm. They should provide a clear path, proven systems, honest coaching, and leadership that helps you develop the skills to build something of your own.
When I first started in 2011, I spent nine months watching leaders before deciding who I wanted to build with. I paid attention to how they handled challenges, how they treated people, what they stood for, and whether they were truly helping others grow. Choosing who you partner with matters 100%. Not because someone should build the business for you, but because the right mentor can help you gain confidence, stay accountable, and create a business rooted in integrity. Before enrolling, look beyond hype, followers, income claims, and who reached out first. Find someone whose story connects with you, whose values you respect, whose vision you believe in, and whose systems can help you become the leader you are capable of becoming.
Experience That Helps New Affiliates Grow
For the past 15 years, I have built in the direct sales and affiliate marketing space—developing leaders, building teams, and learning firsthand what helps a new affiliate move from excited beginner to confident business builder. My mission is to make the path clearer through practical training, straightforward coaching, supportive community, and systems that can be followed. In the health and wellness space, I am equally passionate about helping people understand peptides and make informed decisions about trying them. When someone purchases through me, they receive a free meal plan, workouts, and coaching designed to help them maximize their results. I believe sustainable success is built through education, service, accountability, and leadership that empowers people to grow both personally and professionally.
Five Questions to Ask Before You Enroll
If I were deciding who to join with at MAKE Wellness, these are the five things I would look for:
1. Can I relate to their story?
I would want to understand where they came from, what they’ve gone through, and why they chose to build this business.
I don’t need someone whose life looks exactly like mine, but I do want to feel like I can relate to them as a real person.
Because when things get hard, I’m probably going to learn just as much from how they’ve handled adversity as I will from what they teach me about the business.
2. Would I actually want to spend time with them in real life?
This one matters more than people think.
Business is business, but if you’re going to build alongside someone for years, I would ask myself:
Would I want to sit across the table from this person?
Would I want to travel with them?
Would I want our families to spend time together?
Would I enjoy being in the same room with them even if we weren’t talking about business?
You’re not just choosing a MAKE Wellness affiliate team. You’re choosing people you may spend a significant part of your life building alongside.
3. Do we share similar beliefs and values?
This doesn’t mean we have to agree on everything.
But I would want to know that we see the important things in life in a similar way.
How do they treat their family?
How do they treat people when nobody is watching?
What do they believe about integrity, leadership, service, work, money, and success?
For me, values matter because I never want to build a successful business at the expense of becoming someone I don’t want to be.
4. Do they have a clear vision for what they’re building and why?
I wouldn’t want to join someone who is simply chasing the next promotion, bonus, or commission check.
I would want to know where they are going.
What are they building?
Who are they trying to help?
What does the team stand for?
What does this look like five or ten years from now?
A clear vision gives people something bigger to build toward than their next sale.
5. Do they have a proven way to help me become successful too?
This is where I would look beyond personality and excitement.
Do they have experience?
Have they developed other leaders?
Can they teach the business in a simple way?
Will they actually coach me, tell me the truth, help me improve, and hold me accountable?
Do they have systems, training, community, and a clear path I can follow?
Because I wouldn’t just be looking for someone successful.
I would be looking for a MAKE Wellness affiliate mentor who knows how to help other people become successful.
That distinction matters.
When you choose who to enroll with at MAKE Wellness, I believe you should look beyond followers, hype, income claims, or who happened to message you first.
Look for someone whose story connects with you.
Someone you respect and would want to emulate your life after.
Someone whose values align with yours.
Someone with a vision you believe in.
And someone who can help you develop into the leader you’re capable of becoming.
A Mentor’s Story Matters
Learn From the Person Behind the Training
A strong MAKE Wellness affiliate mentor is more than a person with knowledge, results, or a polished social media presence. Their story can tell you a great deal about how they lead. Take time to understand where they started, what challenges they have faced, and why they chose to build this business. You do not need to have the same background to connect with someone, but it helps to know that they are a real person whose journey, perspective, and priorities resonate with you.
Adversity is especially revealing. Business growth rarely happens without setbacks, difficult conversations, changing seasons, and moments when motivation alone is not enough. The way a mentor has handled those moments can teach you as much as their strategies do. Look for someone who has responded with resilience, integrity, and a willingness to keep learning—someone who can offer practical guidance because they have walked through challenges themselves.
The right relationship gives you more than business instruction. It gives you an example of how to grow through pressure, serve people well, and build with purpose. When you can relate to a mentor’s story and respect the way they have navigated the hard parts, you are more likely to trust their guidance and apply it with confidence.

"Don’t just look for someone who is successful—look for a MAKE Wellness affiliate mentor who knows how to help other people become successful too."
That distinction can shape the kind of leader you become.
Questions to Ask Before Choosing a MAKE Wellness Mentor
Choosing who you enroll with can shape your experience as a MAKE Wellness affiliate. Use these questions to look beyond the surface and find mentorship, systems, and community that support your long-term growth.
Why does my relationship with a potential mentor matter?
You do not need to have identical backgrounds, but you should feel a genuine connection and respect for the person. Consider whether you can relate to their story, learn from how they handle challenges, and enjoy building alongside them over time.
How can I tell whether our values are aligned?
Pay attention to how they speak about family, customers, teammates, work, money, service, and success. Shared values do not require agreement on everything, but they do help you build a business with integrity and confidence.
What should I look for in a leader’s vision?
Look for someone building toward more than the next rank, bonus, or commission. A strong leader can clearly explain what their team stands for, who they want to help, and the kind of long-term impact they hope to create.
How do I know if a mentor can help me develop as a leader?
Ask whether they have helped others grow, not simply achieved success themselves. The right mentor can teach practical skills, give honest feedback, encourage growth, and help you become capable of leading your own business and community.
What kind of coaching and accountability should I expect?
Helpful coaching is clear, honest, and consistent. Look for someone who will answer questions, help you improve your approach, celebrate progress, and lovingly hold you accountable to the commitments you make.
Why do systems, training, and community matter?
Excitement alone is not a business plan. Look for a simple path to follow, accessible training, proven tools, and a supportive community where you can learn, practice, ask questions, and stay connected as you grow.
Choose the Support That Helps You Become More
Look beyond followers, hype, income claims, or whoever reached out first. Choose a mentor whose story connects with you, whose values earn your respect, whose vision inspires you, and whose leadership gives you a clear path to grow into the person you are capable of becoming.
