Counting Calories- I found a way to eat healthy foods

Counting Calories

I want to share the story of one of my personal Sponsored coaches Rachel Smith who has had a complete life 180 since finding Beachbody.  Prior she was working out 2 hours a day and counting calories and never finding a balance and happiness.  Since teaming up with Beachbody she is able to do her workouts in 30 minutes a day, eat healthy foods and in the right portions, and find a group of people who support and encourage her rather than bring her down.  Read her story below and know that if you are counting calories or feeling lost.  This may be your SOLUTION.

“A few years ago is when my fitness journey started. I had gained 20+ pounds my last year or college, was going though some stuff mentally and emotionally and I had the lowest self esteem I’ve ever had. When I looked in the mirror I hated what I saw. I saw someone who was unlovable and damaged.

I thank God that my friends stuck around me because I know there were times that I tested their patience and understanding. If you know someone who struggles with depression-do not give up on them 👍🏼

After I graduated I was determined to get my life and body and back on track. And I did! I was working out and eating right (or so I thought) and I was learning to love myself again. I lost 25 lbs and I loved the attention I got and it made me work harder.

But what a lot of people don’t know is the methods to my madness. I was counting calories like it was my job. I ate small amounts of shitty food and I worked out multiple times a day because I was dead set on having a certain calorie deficit every day. I was OCD over fitness. Short term it made me happy but long term it wasn’t sustainable.

Cut to Beachbody entering my life..I know there are haters out there who think that it’s a scam or really just want nothing to do with it just because someone random messaged them on Instagram but it has helped me more than I ever could’ve imagined. I thought I was healthy until Beachbody taught me otherwise.

Instead of eating small amounts of shitty foods, I eat healthy foods that make me feel energized and keep my cravings away (and yes that includes shakeology for 3 years now). I workout for 30 minutes a day instead of HOURS and I’m actually stronger than I was 3 years ago. And happier because honestly all that running was just not for me 😂 I still have that sense of community that I found 3 years ago but now it’s ladies who are doing things the right way instead of people praising me for success without knowing what I was doing behind the scenes to get there.

It’s so easy to write Beachbody off as just another MLM company that only cares about $$ but I’ve seen so much more and have experienced so much more. Obviously it isn’t for everyone but it is for some and that is why I do what I do 💗”
