Should I worry about Heart Disease

Should I worry about Heart Disease

Sara Pettinger

Maybe you are asking yourself, “Should I worry about Heart Disease?”  After asking my friend Sara about her transformation with Team Beachbody the topic that came up was Heart Disease.   She lost her Grandfather to this disease and it became a big reason for her own transformation.  When the pain of what could happen in your life become greater than the pain of discipline, you make changes.  I personally don’t believe that I should worry about Heart Disease but I will surely do the daily things that will help prevent this disease from happening in my family and the the lives of those that I care about and love most.

“I started my fitness journey because almost a year ago, my grandfather passed away from heart disease. He had a heart attack in August of last year and he wasn’t the same since. He had 90% blockage and the doctors did what they could but he just never bounced back to his old self. He lived with my parents so we got to see him all the time. On thanksgiving he passed away with family by his side. 3 months later my boyfriends grandfather passed away. He lived with my boyfriend and I and we took care of him, he was a cancer survivor. After I pulled myself together I decided I needed to get healthy for myself. Also trying to put my boyfriend on the path, in our 5 year relationship he has gained 60lbs. I started turbo fire and it changed me. I got more energy and it also put me on the path to do something I’ve wanted to do but never thought I could (BECOMING A BEACHBODY COACH!!). I want to eventually compete in a competition. Now that I have more confidence in myself I am doing a lot more to get myself to that goal. I still am trying to talk my boyfriend in to getting healthier, that’s the biggest goal of them all.” – Sara
