Wear a Bikini with Confidence

Let me introduce you to my friend Whitney Brooks.  I love the outlook she is taking on life as a Mother and now life coach with Team Beachbody.  These are her results over the past year as she has continued to grow and challenge herself.  One of the things that I always teach people is to not strive for perfection but to strive for progress as this is the place where you find happiness and joy in your life.   Whitney can now fully wear a bikini with confidence and be proud of the woman that she is becoming.  I will share with you her words on how she has felt this past year and then also show you a picture of where she first started when the 21 Day Fix officially launched as she was in my first challenge group with this program.  If you have been looking at how you can wear a bikini with confidence on that next vacation or trip to the Beach, I have an invite for you.

“So I stumbled across this picture of the first time I put a bikini on last year after starting the 21 Day fix. I remember how excited I was to have it on… But how uncomfortable I still was wearing it. Soooo I decided to do a side by side to see the progress from then to now.

Same bikini, 1 year later. I think to myself… What if I never started last year? What if I gave up when it got hard? What if I never had the support from the thousands of others taking the plunge into a healthier lifestyle? Most of all… Where would my health be if I never started? What if I had another stroke… And didn’t have the muscle strength I had last time to recover. Sadly, that crosses my mind a lot. Once something like that happens to you… It never really leaves.

But— I don’t have to say “what if” because I made the choice to change my life for the better, and I’m not going to stop. It wasn’t just a fitness program, it was a COMPLETE LIFESTYLE CHANGE. Don’t get me started on food. I never really had a clue as to what I was putting into my body… Or feeding my kids. (I mean, everyone feeds their kids hot dogs and Mac and cheese, right?)

I have learned what it takes to fuel my body with things it needs, and in the correct portion sizes. I still eat what I like, I just make it homemade. (Even homemade mac and cheese!) I cut out processed junk from my diet, and learned how to cook more than boxed meals. Honestly, the only seasoning I ever knew of before the fix was “seasoning salt”. 😐

Anyway, the point of this is… Why wait? Think about where YOU could be a year from now. This isn’t a fad diet.
