So what is the best home workout program to start your health and fitness transformation?  Let me start by talking about my Facebook post yesterday where I talked about crying 2 times.  So this is the the photo connected with her story that made me tear up and cry. Let me tell you WHY. This is my friend Whitney. She has been in my fitness challenge groups for the past year. She has been wanting to make some changes for a long time and got to a place where she was not happy and shared with me that she was ashamed of where she had let herself go. She was SO SCARED to share her before picture and was refusing to do it. I kept encouraging her over this past year to do so because I know how much she has been changing. I also KNEW that it would inspire and help other women take control of their life as well and get to a place where they can be PROUD of what they are doing. So PLEASE comment and congratulate Whitney Brooks on her 50 lbs weight loss and the 40 ” that have disappeared along with those pounds!

“So one year ago today I took my “before” picture. The picture I took and locked in a vault on my phone- that I swore would NEVER be seen my eyes other than MINE. The picture reminding me how much I hated my body. Reminding me just how far I had let myself go…

But here it is. This was me. This was me after two kids and a stroke that had disabled me for awhile. I had every excuse in the book as to why I couldn’t work out. Or why I couldn’t eat healthier. I didn’t have time. I needed to study. It was too hard. It was too expensive to eat clean.. And honestly, I didn’t know where to start. 

Then my friend Scottie posted about the launch of the 21 Day Fix… and I jumped on it! Who would have thought a year later I would be so much happier in my own skin?! It was just what I needed. It wasn’t just a workout program, it was a complete lifestyle change. I have managed to lose nearly 50 pounds and just over 40 inches! Ummmm, that’s just insane!

It wasn’t easy… And it’s far from over. There were some days I let excuses get in the way, or ate some questionable “food”. Hey, I am only human. But after getting knocked down and not being able to workout for so long, I do my best not to take it for granted anymore. I have found a new passion. I don’t make working out a option anymore, instead it’s part of my day. My one time for me to do something good for me (even my kids are following my example)! What more could you ask for?

It took me a year to post this picture… and all day contemplating it! I’m sure you can understand why…. so please, be kind!
