Don't bring your Phone Along- Being more Present

Don’t bring your Phone Along

I’m feeling blessed this night as I spent the last 2 hours doing workouts and eating dinner with my 5 children while my wife is away for “Time Out for Women” until tomorrow night.  I took an hour nap this afternoon after spending the day serving at the Soup Kitchen with my wife for our weekly Friday Date and woke up thinking the best way to feel good to tackle this weekend alone with the kids is to exercise.  So I took my Energize and went downstairs.  One by one each kids trickled down and began doing their own moves.  The phone was put away and we spent QUALITY time together doing a “wholesome recreational activity.”

I’m inspired tonight to share with you some thoughts about my past week and ask you to “Don’t bring your phone along” to a few events this week with your loved ones and family.  We had a member of our online health coaching group earn her first six figure income month, I had my first REFEED DAY in said test group/program,  I experienced fear, embarrassment, massive bleeding, doctor’s visits, and healing all in one week which I believe is why I have been urged to share the thoughts with you this week that you are about to hear.  I will also share with you the results of a few members of our 80 Day Program test group and how they are feeling.

PS. This is the first week out of the 6 weeks that I have had the urge to “splurge” and eat some sweets.  I had one bite of a Cinnamon roll at the Soup Kitchen today and then quickly reminded myself that I had a goal and that I wanted to follow through with it.   One of the greatest things that I have learned so far during these past weeks is that by becoming disciplined in these things, I have become more disciplined in other areas of my life.  That’s powerful.

This week was the Second Week of Phase 2 which focused on Heavier weights with 10 Reps and 3 sets of each move.  This is what to expect in the 6th week.

Day 33 Booty-59 Minutes

Day 34 Cardio Core-40 Minutes

Day 35 Total Body Core-59 Minutes

Day 36 Legs 42-Minutes

Day 37 AAA 60-Minutes

Day 38 Cardio Flow- 38 Minutes

Here are 5 tips to help you be more focused on your priorities and get more done.

No Phone in the bedroom

No hitting the snooze button

Take 5 minutes(plan day) (focus of day)

Write one thing you’ll progress on

Set your quitting time

leave your phone, don't bring your phone, leave your phone

If I had my child to raise over again:
I’d build self-esteem first and the house later❤️
I’d finger paint more and point the finger less❤️
I would do less correcting and more connecting❤️
I’d take my eyes off my watch and watch with my eyes❤️
I would care to know less and know to care more❤️
I’d take more hikes and fly more kites❤️
I’d stop playing serious and seriously play❤️
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars❤️
I’d do more hugging and less tugging❤️
I’d see the oak tree in the acorn more often❤️
I would be firm less often and affirm much more❤️
I’d model less about the love of power
And more about the power of love. ❤️

I was looking through my photo library for a picture of me and the kiddos and it went to the oldest pictures first. I found this collage and knew exactly what I wanted to share with you.
It’s important to slow down in order to know what is TRUE and REAL.
I once heard somebody share that “we don’t remember the days, we remember the moments.

“In this busy life whether you work for an employer or you own your business there is always a CRAZY HECTIC pace and schedule to follow. Don’t forget to savor the small pleasures while making your big plans.  In the race to be better daily or to become the best in our field it is often times easy to lose sight of just “BEING”.

If you can MAKE time to just “BE” and soak in the moments you will begin to find and experience more joy and greater pleasure in life.
Today… I want you to take a walk, listen to a crackling fire, write your spouse a love letter, write your child a love letter, watch the sunset, enjoy a great meal sitting with your family, wrestle the kids, talk to a friend about when you were younger. Stop long enough to savor the moment and as per my video yesterday, don’t bring your phone along .

TEST GROUP PROGRESS AND TESTIMONIALS!

80 day obsession results, 80 day obsession

I started 80 Day Obsession because as a Coach, I wanted to show others it’s possible. I played it safe with my programs up until this point and I needed to prove to myself I could do a program like this. I also know my 2 little girls are always watching and I wanted to show them what not giving up looks like. I feel incredible. Some days I get tears in my eyes because I feel so blessed to be here and to be healthy, strong, and able. My energy is insane, I feel the best I’ve ever felt, and my willpower is stronger than it has ever been. After knowing it’s possible, after knowing I can make the time, after knowing how incredible I’m intended to feel, after knowing we all have it within us to make a change…how can we not pay it forward to others? I was given this gift and all I want to do is share this gift with others.” Christy Lowe

“I started the program because I was so intimidated by it. My first thoughts were “Hell yeah I’m going to do this” and then started doubting myself and thinking “What if I fail?” and that is when I knew I had to do it. Before I started I was very insecure, I was tired and felt like something was missing in my life, like I had no motivation for anything. Now I feel great, energized, confident and happier. This is not an 80 day change, this is a lifetime change. I never knew how simple it could be to feel this good. Not easy, but totally doable. I want to keep bettering myself and want others to be able to feel the same way”– Sarah Couillard
