Love Your Spouse
FOR THE MEN (VALENTINES DAY ADVICE)
First of all this should be celebrated 365 days out of the year and not just one and I have failed many times in the past 11 years but am REALLY learning what it is to LOVE your wife and treat her like a queen and I can say that I have never been happier.
They say that a Happy Spouse is a Helping Spouse.
I may be biased but I have the best spouse in the world so I want to share some ideas with you men this morning on the eve of Valentines Day.
When your spouse is happy and feels appreciated, she will want to help you. Write that down.
On the other hand, if she feels unhappy or taken advantage of, the last thing that she would want to do is make YOUR life easier.
PS… write that down as well.
I believe we have all seen this play out in our lives right men?
So I want to make sure that I am clear when sharing this, WE are not responsible for anybody else’s happiness. That is something that each person needs to find internally but we DO have a HUGE impact on making sure that our spouse feels LOVED and APPRECIATED.
I want you to think about your own personal instance and circumstances in the home right now.
Like REALLY… How often do you thank your spouse for all the hard work she does for your behalf? If you were like me, almost never.
Let’s make sure we understand. Your wife is your PARTNER. You should treat your partner like your BEST FRIEND 
I have been working on putting this into perspective and want to give you an example. Let’s say you are feeling under the weather and somebody from the church or your neighborhood comes over and feeds you a meal, does the dishes, and tidies up the house. ( Pretty awesome right?)
What would you say to them?
How would you react?
How would you feel?
Now here is the KICKER.
Doesn’t your WIFE do that every day?
Don’t they deserve the SAME if not more recognition and gratitude DAILY from you?
I am almost certain that if you take the time and effort to genuinely say thank you and give gratitude to your wife, that if you take the focus off what YOU are doing for the relationship and re-direct that focus to what your wife is doing…………. You’ll both be happier and you’ll both begin to feel more loved and appreciated. Love your spouse by serving, helping, and recognizing what she does for your family.
