The power of human emotional connection
I had a three-destination flight booked from Idaho Falls to San Diego to Las Vegas to Idaho Falls. I want to share with you the power of human emotional connection.
I decided to take a faster cheap flight from San Diego to Las Vegas to get there earlier. Without realizing it, this canceled the rest of my flights. Even though my final flight was six days later.
I called and they said they could put my name back on the seat and ticket but I would need to pay a $260 flight change fee. I calmly let them know I didn’t feel that was fair, they let me know that I had to do it because I missed that flight and somebody else had to go on it. I told them I still couldn’t understand why they cancelled my last flight and HAVE to charge me $260. I said thanks for your help I’ll figure it out then I hung up.
I arrived at the Airport today, having imagined and visualized that everything was okay lol. When I went to check in the kiosk told me I needed to talk to an agent. I went to the agent with a big smile and let her know that my flight was canceled because I missed my flight six days ago from San Diego to Las Vegas, she said OK let me look at it. While she was looking I told her I was so excited to go back and see my five kids and it’s the longest I’ve been away without seeing them (12 days!) she was surprised to hear that I had 5 kids and I learned that she had 2 of her own. After about five minutes she said OK I booked you a new flight it leaves two hours later but you’re all set to go see those little ones ❤ she didn’t charge me anything.
There’s two ways that you can approach things in life. With fear and despair, or with Hope and positivity
