Gabby and I are in a stage of our marriage that for the most part feels giddy and exciting after 17 years of marriage.
It hasn’t always been like this and I KNOW there are challenges that will come in the future.
3 things we’re doing NOW to build our friendship and marriage.
1. Non negotiable weekly dates. For us they are Thursdays and we never miss them. We eat and we talk.
2. Reading nightly and giving each other their love language. She reads out loud and I massage her feet.
3. Spontaneous “mini” dates. A walk around the block, a drive listening to music, playing games.
A marriage needs nurturing just like a business would. You will thrive where you water.
