Start with Running
I want to give a shout out to my friend Penny Feasy in the UK who has been working on her fitness journey. Penny like myself got her start with running. Penny is on a mission not only to change her life but to also inspire and help her husband live a healthier more fulfilling lifestyle. “Fitness in general is something I have always enjoyed… after my third I struggled to loose the weight and always found excuses, be it financially or lack of time… I got my start with running a while back ( it was free, all I need was some running shoes !!) but had to stop again as I slipped a disc in my back, over the following 3 months, I started to pile on the weight and when I looked in the mirror I didn’t like what I saw! So I took a photo!!! Crazy right?!?! That was my starting point… now I’m on a mission to sort it out, when I’m exercising regularly I have more energy and I think more clearly… my husband is obesely over weight and I want him to see that it can be done… I want him to see my energy… I just posted a quote on my wall, which I really truly believe in… ‘Motivation is not something that strikes you like lightning. And motivation is not something someone else can give you or force on you. The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Sometimes we just need to remind ourselves of this!!”
