I Want to Tone Up
I was chatting with my friend Shannon about her results so far with the new program coming out called Shift Shop and to be honest we have been a little bit jealous that we were not a part of the test group. We can’t wait to try it out in just a couple weeks when it is released at the Annual Team Beachbody Coach Summit. I was asking Shannon about her results and why she wanted to do the program and she told me, “I want to tone up” and that she wanted to start making smarter food choices. Seriously though…. How easy is it to SLIP into those bad habits again. I had a cheesecake at this magic show last night in Maui and I couldn’t put it down. “When I was in Punta Cana for Beachbody’s Success Club Trip ( A reward trip for Team Beachbody Coaches) , I received some super exciting news from Corporate! I was selected to be in the Official Test Group for Beachbody’s newest workout program, The Shift Shop, created by the new Super Trainer, Chris Downing!!! This news couldn’t have come at a better time!! I was starting to feel off track and in a funk from being so busy and from traveling. I needed something new to reignite my fire! It’s crazy how fast you can lose all of the progress that you have worked so hard for. A few weeks of crappy food choices, a few too many adult beverages, and missing more workouts that I’d like to admit… had definitely caught up to me. I felt bloated and had no energy! So, I was ready to go ALL IN when I got back home from vacation! I didn’t want to lose a ton of weight, I just wanted to lose the bloat, tone up, and get back to my routine of having self-control with my food choices so I would FEEL better again! I received my package with the colorful markers and sandbag and a digital file of the workout, meal plan, and program guide! So, I printed it all out and took my measurements and before photos. I looked at the meal plan and was excited that it still implemented the portion controlled containers and had super easy steps to follow. It’s a totally different style of eating than I’ve done before, which took some getting used to but definitely helped with my results. The meal plan changes up each week throughout the three weeks, to correspond to the weekly workouts, which start out at 25 minutes in week one, 35 in week two, and increase to 45 mins by week three, while gradually decreasing your carbs each week. One of my favorite parts about this workout program is that they give you a slow-motion preview of each move before you do them, so you can really focus on your form and know exactly what you’re doing. I really like that it combines both cardio and strength training and Chris gradually increases the intensity each week. Some of the moves are completely new ones that I’ve never done in any other program before so it was awesome to add some variety into what I’m used to and to get me out of my comfort zone! I was proud of myself for upping my weights throughout the program and although I did have to modify some moves at first, I definitely improved as I went and was able to do a lot more than I was when I first started! After completing 2 Rounds of the Shift Shop workouts and Nutrition Plan, I lost 5 POUNDS and toned up quite a bit!! Not to mention, I have so much more ENERGY and feel AMAZING!! This was just what I needed to change things up!! This program has gottn me so fired up and I just feel recommitted again!”
