Lion and Gazelle | Mom of 4 Mission with Liift4 | ScottieHobbs.com

Lion and Gazelle

The Lion and Gazelle analogy.  I want to shout out my friend Erin for going after her goals, dreams, and aspirations with the first steps in her health and fitness journey as a mother of 4 children.  “Every morning in Africa a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a lion wakes up and it knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn’t matter if you’re a lion or a gazelle, when the sun comes up, you better be running!”

This quote can mean many things to different people but let’s talk about fears and dreams.  The gazelle is running in fear of being killed, while the lion is running to chase that thing which will keep it alive… 🙏🏻

lion and gazelle, gazelle and lion,

What happens to you if you’re overtaken by your fears, and what happens to you if you don’t catch your dreams? You may not die a physical death like the lion or the gazelle but something inside of you certainly dies .

So my question for you to ponder today is:

So are you running away from something or are chasing it?

As far as I’m concerned the gazelles may want to start before the sun comes up because I’m running late into the night AND up early running🔥.

YOUR dreams can come true, if YOU have the courage to pursue them🔥

“I started because I needed a program that fit into my hectic life. I’m a mom of 4 and work full time. I have loved the flexibility of this program, especially the 3 rest days. Im feeling amazing now. I love the progress I’m seeing and I love the cheat meal option each week! I have so much energy and I’m starting to see a lot more arm definition already! I will always continue this journey because my father passed away at 59 of conditions all related to obesity and it’s up to me to end the trend of obesity within my family and to inspire others to do the same.”
