My Body Changed
I am so excited to share with you the progress of my friend Deb who shared with me, “My body changed!” She has been doing workouts from home with the easy home fitness streaming of a workout created by Shaun T. She had some things happen in her life and it made me think about this quote, “You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight.” I don’t know one successful person who thinks that personal growth and achieving goals comes quickly and that climbing to the top is easy. It simply doesn’t happen like that. Here a 4 things you need to do in order to get “lucky”. Preparation, Attitude, Opportunity, ACTION.
“Ignorance is NOT bliss. About twelve weeks ago I decided to challenge myself. I wanted to fit into a gown I wore seven years ago to a wedding. I wanted to wear it to a Black Tie Gala. Well that happened and I was really proud. Let me back up, on July 2014 I started a 25 minute home workout. I was 14 years married with two awesome boys. At the time I was suffering from general anxiety and gaining weight but I was still happy. Hell or high water I worked every day for 25 minutes for an entire year. I completed Alpha, Beta and Gamma phases of this program. My body changed and on top of that my anxiety lessened. I noticed some people supporting my fitness journey and noticed that some weren’t. On August of 2015 I totaled my car and was a little banged up so I was ‘grounded’ from working out. I was so bummed. All of these things opened my eyes to some important things that I was ignoring. I started to pay attention to my happiness. My marriage was not healthy and we cordially ended it. My boys have adapted and I’m beyond happy. Since that happened, I completed Alpha and Beta rounds and am now down to a size 4 and feeling awesome. I am taking a week off then redoing Beta for 5 weeks and then hitting Gamma round after. I pay attention to what I eat and I drink water all day. I occasionally have a cheat day but I feel the difference in my body when I eat better things. I feel a difference if I’m behind on my water intake. It is SO important. I have rebuilt my life, my love, my home and myself. I’m in charge. I’m aware. I’m thankful.”
