If you want to learn how to build muscle and loose fat at the same time you will want to realize that the majority of your desired results will come from the kitchen and the eating choices you make. Each and every one of the Beachbody workouts comes with it’s own nutrition guide so I would recommend following that when it comes with your program. If by chance you do not join a challenge and purchase a program and decide to workout on your own from home here is a sample of how you could eat clean to build muscle and loose fat. Here is a sample of my day.
9:30 am– Oatmeal with brown sugar (fridays- a dounut from work)
12:00 Noon-Grilled Chicken Breast
4:00- Steel Cut Oats, Oatmeal, Peanut Butter Sandwich on Whole Wheat Bread
6:00- Protein shake chocolate, blended with ice, milk, raw oatmeal, peanut butter, bannana) taken after workout.
Bedtime Snack– One or two Shakeology Reeses Peanut Butter Cups.
I try to stay away from or at least limit white rice, pastas, noodles, soda, and sugary juices.
This is what works for me. Stick to the rule of portions. It may be hard at first and you may feel like you are starving the first few times but eat every couple of hours and your body will adjust. Make sure that you are getting enough protein in your diet to support the muscle growth.
